Our story

My name is Fama.

I was born in Dakar, lived across the globe, and now I'm raising my son in Paris.
He's growing up far from Senegal, for now, but it's important to me that he speaks Wolof.

I want him to feel deeply rooted in his Senegalese identity, and language feels like one of the natural answers.

To me, teaching him Wolof is providing him with an anchor, a foundation, a bridge.
To his family. To his origins. To himself.

At home, I speak to him exclusively in Wolof.

For a while, I thought that would be enough. But as he grows and the world around him unfolds in French, English, German: I realized we needed more.
More stories. More moments. More touchpoints.

And yet, there was almost nothing out there.
So I created Miri.

Born at home,  from necessity.
To support families like mine, like yours.

Joyful and immersive stories to bring Wolof to life a little more each day.

Thank you for being here at the very beginning of this journey.
